A resident of Danville, Chris Robbins has been a member of the VSAC board for 18 years and its chair for the last eight years. Chris is retired from 30 years of executive service, most recently as president, for EHV Weidmann Industries in St. Johnsbury, a manufacturer of electrical insulation products. Previously, Chris worked as an engineer for Allis Chalmers in Boston and as an engineering manager for Permali Inc. in Pittsburgh. Chris recently completed a six-year term on the Vermont State Board of Education. He also served on the Danville School Board for 16 years, including four as chair, and was a member of the board of the Vermont School Boards Association for 12 years, including two as president. Chris served six years on the board of the Vermont Business Roundtable and nine years as a board member of the Business Industry Political Action Committee in Washington, D.C. He currently serves on the board of the Ethan Allen Institute. Chris has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maine.
