Marilyn J. Cargill

Marilyn J. Cargill, a resident of Monkton, joined VSAC in 1984 as a grant counselor.  She worked for a number of years managing the state grant program.  Marilyn became director of Financial Aid Delivery and Operations in 2004 where she had responsibility for grants, scholarships, loan account services, school services, and the administrative and imaging area.  In 2010, the customer relations division was added to her responsibilities.  In 2014, Marilyn became the Vice President of Financial Aid Services and Research.  Marilyn oversees most of VSAC’s operational functions including federal and private loans in excess of $ 1 billion, as well as three major state grant programs, and 160 scholarships.  Marilyn is a past president of the National Association of State Student Grant and Aid Programs (NASSGAP) and a member of the NASSGAP executive committee.  Marilyn has also served as an officer for the Vermont Association of Financial Aid Administrators.  Ms. Cargill received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont in 1978.
